The judge for the 2006 National Specialty was Ms. Diane Anderson. Ms. Anderson is a certified judge in both AKC & FCI.
Here is Ms. Anderson’s biography:
“I was born in the USA, after earning a Masters Degree in Education, I married and moved to Scandinavia where I lived for over 20 years. I got my first Old English Sheepdog in Sweden in 1969. Since then, I have owned, bred and shown all my OES to champions under the prefix….Likeabear. One of my International Champions was 3rd top dog, all breeds in Norway. The Likeabear lines have produced many champions throughout Scandinavia and Ch Likeabear Attention Please has sired champions in Australia from frozen semen.
I have been an FCI judge since 1975. I judge over 160 breeds, several groups and Best In Show. I am also currently licensed by the American Kennel Club for several breeds. I have judged at championship level all over the world including: Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, Germany, Iceland, India, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, and USA.
I have served in various capacities in the Norwegian Kennel Club and formulated the first official standards for various breeds. I am an Honorary Member of the Norwegian Old English Sheepdog Club and have been a member of the American OES Club for over 30 years. I have contributed to various publications and edited the first OES handbook in Norway.”
According to her official AKC page, Ms. Anderson may judge the following breeds (Bearded Collies; Bouviers des Flandres; Collies; Old English Sheepdogs; Pulis; Shetland Sheepdogs; Welsh Corgis (Cardigan & Pembroke)) and is “provisional” with the following (Akitas; Alaskan Malamutes;Bullmastiffs; Doberman Pinschers; Great Danes; Newfoundlands; Rottweilers; Siberian Huskies).
